Alienware will be the official PC and display supplier for all upcoming events in their various stages. Dell and Alienware attended the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) where the companies met and discussed partnership opportunities with high-profile brands, such as Team Liquid, an established competitive video gaming organization, and the aforementioned Riot Games.
Alienware will supply a range of products, highlighting the Alienware Legend hardware series specifically tailored for the needs and comfort of esports athletes. The company’s VP and GM for G Series and XPS, Frank Azor, had this to say on the occasion:
We’re excited to come to this year’s CES with some truly ground-breaking products, next-gen software and strategic partnerships that will bring more people to experience PC gaming and advance the industry.
Mr. Azor continued by highlighting the high-performance gaming potential and accessibility of Alienware products fit to satisfy the needs of both amateur and established professional gamers.
Alienware is no occasional dabbler in esports either as the company has already successfully partnered with Riot Games in the past. Alienware worked with Riot on the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), along with other events, including:
- the Mid-Season Invitational
- North America vs. Europe Rift Series
- the All Stars Events
- the League of Legends World Championship
The new agreement constitutes a multi-year partnership, which comes at an important point for Alienware. Esports are slated to develop even further in 2019 with important trends gaining traction. The LoL World Championship alone managed to add as many as 99.6 million unique viewers alone.
